Deck overview

This aggressive Gruul deck focuses on Wolf and Werewolf tribal combat, powered by Tovolar, Dire Overlord. The primary strategy uses low-cost tribal creatures to build a wide board, cast Tovolar to draw cards on combat damage, and flip the game to night via his upkeep trigger. Once transformed into Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge, your creatures hit much harder with boosted stats and trample. You close games through overwhelming combat damage amplified by tribal anthems, Unnatural Growth, Tovolar's activated pump ability, and heavy token production from cards like Tovolar's Huntmaster and Arlinn planeswalkers.
