Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Vampire tribal aggro and aristocrats strategy led by Edgar Markov. The game plan revolves around casting low-mana-value Vampire creatures early to trigger Edgar's Eminence ability from the command zone, creating a wide board of 1/1 Vampire tokens at zero extra mana cost. The deck leverages this swarm through aristocrat drain effects like Blood Artist and Vengeful Bloodwitch, life-gain synergies, and combat pump effects. Once the board is established, casting Edgar Markov or high-impact anthem cards provides immediate mass buffs to close out the game through combat damage and death triggers. While the deck recovers smoothly from creature loss thanks to Eminence, it lacks stack-based board protection and deep card advantage engines, making it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and extended attrition.
