Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya Group Hug and Pillowfort strategy piloted by Gluntch, the Bestower. It focuses on generating political goodwill and steady card flow by distributing +1/+1 counters, extra card draws, and Treasure tokens around the table. Behind this cooperative exterior, the deck establishes an extensive defensive barrier using attack taxes like Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, Baird, Steward of Argive, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer. These deterrents redirect combat away from your life total while you amass card advantage through engines such as Generous Patron, Wedding Ring, and Selvala, Explorer Returned. Once sufficient cards are drawn, the deck pivots into a decisive finish by resolving its two-card infinite combo: Rosie Cotton of South Lane and Scurry Oak. This combination generates an arbitrarily large Squirrel army to defeat the entire table in combat, backed by Approach of the Second Sun as an alternative route to victory.
