Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Sea Monster battlecruiser strategy commanded by Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. The game plan accelerates mana on turns 1-2 to cast Arixmethes on turn 3. Because Arixmethes enters as a land that taps for two mana, it guarantees an untap on turn 4 with 6-7 available mana. The deck leverages this acceleration to cast high-impact value engines such as Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, and Garruk's Uprising. On turn 5, dropping massive Krakens, Leviathans, and Serpents removes slumber counters, turning Arixmethes into a 12/12 attacker while establishing an overwhelming board. Asymmetric sweepers like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets clear opposing blockers, allowing the deck to eliminate the table through combat damage by turn 7. While vulnerable to creature sweepers when tapped out, its built-in creature ward/shroud mechanics and high threat density ensure strong resilience.
