Deck overview

This deck is a five-color token and +1/+1 counters midrange strategy helmed by Leonardo, the Balance. The game plan focuses on establishing early token producers such as Gilded Goose, Lita, Little Orphan Amphibian, and Peregrin Took to trigger Leonardo's ability, distributing +1/+1 counters across your entire board each turn. Midgame turns scale this board presence using synergistic force multipliers like Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Raphael, the Muscle, which doubles combat damage from creatures with counters. Critical pressure peaks around Turn 6, where devastating threats like Shredder, Shadow Master or an activated {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} buff from Leonardo granting menace, trample, and lifelink force opponents into defensive answers. While the deck possesses explosive combat potential, high board resiliency via Together Forever and Continue?, and flexible removal through Assassin's Trophy and Wave Goodbye, it remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacks countermagic to contest fast noncreature win conditions.
