Deck overview

This deck is a Big-Mana Spellslinger strategy built around Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The primary game plan accelerates mana in the early turns using mana rocks and cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor and Thunderclap Drake. Once Rootha enters the battlefield on Turn 4, the deck pivots into casting high-mana-value instants and sorceries such as Magma Opus, Creative Technique, and Dig Through Time. Each big spell cast triggers Rootha at the beginning of combat, creating a massive flying Elemental token with haste scaled to the spell's mana value. Complementary payoffs like Shark Typhoon, Ovika, Enigma Goliath, and Zaffai, Thunder Conductor flood the board with evasive creatures, while extra combat spells like World at War and Full Throttle or the power buff from Surge to Victory quickly close out the game.
