Deck overview

This Orzhov deck helmed by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk blends life-tax attrition with compact A+B infinite combos. The game plan focuses on deploying early taxing permanents such as Blind Obedience, Authority of the Consuls, and Kambal, Consul of Allocation to tax opponent life totals and slow down aggressive boards. Liesa, Shroud of Dusk circumvents commander tax by paying 2 life per recast, ensuring continuous table-wide pressure. Card advantage engines like Necropotence, Trouble in Pairs, and Black Market Connections dig toward game-ending combos, predominantly Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. An alternate storm line utilizing Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir provides additional late-game inevitability. Supported by premier single-target removal, board wipes, and proactive silence effects like Grand Abolisher, the deck maintains control until it can execute an instant-speed lethal drain loop.
