Deck overview

This deck is a go-wide Boros Soldier tribal deck led by Baird, Argivian Recruiter. The primary strategy focuses on assembling static power buffs and anthems to trigger Baird's end-step token production consistently. Over early turns, the deck curves out with low-cost Soldiers, equipment, and enchantments that modify creature power. By the mid-game, scaling payoffs like Cathars' Crusade, Warleader's Call, and Commander Mustard convert wide token boards into substantial combat and direct-damage pressure. The deck operates smoothly within casual and focused tables, relying on combat steps rather than infinite combos. Its primary operational challenges stem from a high volume of tapped lands, limited card draw velocity outside of key engines like Mentor of the Meek, and vulnerability to sweepers due to a lack of mass protection spells.
