Deck overview

This Grixis deck is a dedicated Wheel and Group Slug strategy commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The primary game plan focuses on deploying static punishers that deal damage whenever opponents draw or discard cards, then chaining symmetrical wheel effects to deal massive damage across the entire table simultaneously. Acceleration from low-cost mana rocks and rituals sets up key engines like Underworld Dreams, Liliana's Caress, or Waste Not by Turn 4. On Turn 5, resolving spells like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, or Dark Deal disrupts opposing hands while dealing heavy burst damage to all three opponents. Supported by universal tutors and efficient countermagic such as Mana Drain and Deflecting Swat, the deck quickly chains into a second wheel or lethal burn spells like Molten Psyche by Turn 6. Even without its commander, deep functional redundancy ensures the deck maintains a lethal clock through alternate punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse.
