Deck overview

This is a Temur "pump and draw" deck built around Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The primary plan is to cast Xyris, pump it with a dense suite of instant-speed growth spells, and convert its combat damage trigger into a card-drawing and token engine: each hit draws cards for both players and creates a 1/1 Snake token. The deck wins primarily through commander damage - a double-striking, pumped Xyris can one-shot an opponent - and secondarily by overwhelming the table with Snake tokens. A supporting cast of combat-damage draw creatures (Cold-Eyed Selkie, Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion, Surrakar Spellblade) and fight spells (Bite Down, Ram Through) keeps the hand full and the board clear. The deck is fast, aggressive, and heavily reliant on its commander staying on the battlefield.
