Deck overview

This Boros deck pairs Karlach, Fury of Avernus with Flaming Fist to execute an aggressive double-strike, extra-combat Voltron strategy. Supported by an equipment subtheme that features cards like Fighter Class, The Reaver Cleaver, and Puresteel Paladin, the deck aims to eliminate opponents sequentially through lethal commander damage. Karlach triggers an extra combat phase on your first combat attack while Flaming Fist grants double strike during each attack step, enabling 20 commander damage in a single turn without external buffs. Auxiliary beaters like Port Razer and Aurelia, the Warleader provide redundant extra combat steps. While explosive once established, the deck is constrained by a high commander casting cost, limited fast mana, and reliance on combat connections without extensive evasion, requiring deliberate timing and protection spells to close out games against removal-heavy pods.
