Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis Superfriends control deck commanded by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. The primary game plan focuses on establishing early mana acceleration through two-mana artifacts, controlling the board with efficient removal and sweepers, and deploying high-loyalty Nicol Bolas planeswalkers. Once assembled, the deck suppresses opponents through persistent hand disruption, resource taxing, and combat restrictions like Propaganda and Silent Arbiter. Proliferation engines such as Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Ichormoon Gauntlet, and Deepglow Skate accelerate planeswalker loyalty toward game-ending ultimates. The deck closes matches by locking opponents out with Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God, reanimating game-ending threats, or resolving a devastating Torment of Hailfire. It demonstrates exceptional redundancy across its planeswalker lineup and strong recovery capabilities, operating at its peak when dictating table pace and punishing greedy board states.
