Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet Spellslinger Storm engine piloted by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Vivi on curve and attaching a persistent draw trigger such as Curiosity or Tandem Lookout, or deploying Archmage Emeritus. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, each cheap cantrip deals immediate burn and draws up to three cards with Curiosity attached. The deck quickly chains low-mana cantrips, cost reducers like Goblin Electromancer, and rituals like Seething Song or Mana Geyser, converting Vivi's growing power into mana via its tap-free activated ability. This velocity culminates in a Turn 4 same-turn table elimination through massive storm burn, Aetherflux Reservoir, or Underworld Breach loops. A robust suite of free and one-mana counterspells protects the winning turn, while Niv-Mizzet, Parun provides a reliable backup infinite combo.
