Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats strategy powered by thirty copies of Shadowborn Apostle and Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. During the first four turns, the deck fills the battlefield with 1/1 Clerics. On Turn 5, casting Shirei and sacrificing six Apostles allows you to tutor a game-ending Demon directly into play, while Shirei returns all six Apostles at the end step. By repeating this sacrifice loop on every opponent's turn, the deck generates overwhelming card draw, tutors key aristocrat pieces with Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and wipes opposing creature boards with Grave Pact. Opponents are rapidly drained out by Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Syr Konrad, the Grim, with damage doubled by Archfiend of Despair. The deck recovers easily from board wipes using Echoing Return to bring back all fallen Apostles simultaneously.
