Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Dragon Stompy engine helmed by Sunastian Falconer, utilizing the commander's {C}{C} mana acceleration to power out high-cost, evasive Dragon threats ahead of curve. The early game focuses on deploying 2- and 3-mana ramp spells and cost-reducers to establish a 7+ mana baseline by Turn 5. Once mana velocity is secured, the deck deploys game-ending Dragon payoffs such as Atarka, World Render, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Savage Ventmaw, using mass haste from Dragon Tempest or Hammer of Purphoros to convert mana into immediate aerial pressure. While the deck boasts high threat redundancy and punishing aerial combat math, its reliance on natural draws, vulnerability to board wipes without stack protection, and lack of fast infinite combos place its operational win window between Turns 6 and 8. It excels at overpowering non-interactive pods through overwhelming flying damage, asymmetric sweepers like Chandra's Ignition, and high individual card quality.
