Cloud Ex-Soldier by AdjuctReaper

Format: Commander

Commander: Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Naya Equipment/Voltron deck is helmed by Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER, a haste 4/4 that draws a card for each equipped attacking creature and creates two Treasures whenever its power is 7 or greater. The primary game plan is to suit up Cloud (and other legendary creatures) with a dense Equipment suite, attack to generate card advantage and Treasures, then chain extra combat phases - via Genji Glove, Aurelia, the Warleader, and Tifa, Martial Artist - to close out with commander damage or a wide, double-striking board. The deck runs a second Cloud, Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, in the 99 to double Equipment triggers, plus a compact tutor package (Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift) to find the key pieces. Secondary threats include Gilgamesh, Master-at-Arms, Mabel, Heir to Cragflame, and Sephiroth, Fallen Hero. The deck wins through overwhelming combat inevitability rather than infinite combos.
