Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control list commanded by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The strategy revolves around resolving Eluge early and utilizing cheap blink spells like Essence Flux and Planar Incision to rapidly place flood counters on lands. Each flood counter reduces the colored and generic mana cost of the first instant or sorcery cast on every player's turn. This discount enables the deck to dominate the mid-game by casting powerful card draw spells like Flow of Knowledge and Mystic Confluence on opponents' turns for minimal mana. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming board swings, including kicked Rite of Replication, one-sided wipes like Scourge of Fleets, Talrand, Sky Summoner Drake swarms, and unblockable commander damage.
