Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Dragon Tribal and Treasure Midrange list commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The strategy focuses on accelerating through the early turns using cost reducers and mana rocks such as Ruby Medallion, Dragonspeaker Shaman, and Rivaz of the Claw. Once Smaug, Wicked Worm enters the battlefield, it generates a burst of Treasure tokens based on opposing artifacts and converts every subsequent Treasure-spent spell into fresh card draw. The deck leverages this resource flow to flood the board with massive flying threats including Utvara Hellkite, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Scourge of Valkas. Direct damage engines like Dragon Tempest and Mirkwood Bats soften opponents before combat finishes them. With asymmetric sweepers like Crux of Fate and mass reanimation via Lich-Knights' Conquest, the deck maintains board dominance and closes games reliably around Turn 7.
