Derevi VII by Darkstar_85

Format: Commander

Commander: Derevi, Empyrial Tactician

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This Bant stax-combo deck is built around Derevi, Empyrial Tactician and her unique ability to cheat the command zone tax while generating massive mana and tempo through combat triggers. The primary strategy is to deploy a dense curtain of disruptive stax pieces-Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Archon of Emeria, Deafening Silence, Linvala, Keeper of Silence-while accelerating with a suite of cheap mana dorks. The deck then wins through infinite mana loops (Emiel the Blessed + Felidar Guardian with a dork like Bloom Tender; Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy doubling mana from dorks) and finishes with Finale of Devastation or a flurry of Derevi triggers. The commander acts as a resilient, repeatable mana engine and combo enabler, and the low curve (2.28 average CMC) ensures blistering early execution.
