Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy led by Gimli, Mournful Avenger that converts Eldrazi Spawn and Scion tokens into lethal combat pressure, board control, and explosive mana ramp. Gimli enters early and grows continuously as temporary Eldrazi tokens sacrifice themselves for mana, frequently triggering his third-death fight ability to remove opposing utility creatures and commanders. The deck ramps into devastating colorless behemoths like Ulamog's Dreadsire, Desolation Twin, and Titans' Vanguard, overwhelming opponents with wide trampling boards and heavy Annihilator attacks. It also contains an accidental infinite combo between Basking Broodscale and Tarrian's Soulcleaver that yields infinite colorless mana and power. While the deck boasts high battlefield resilience against damage-based wipes thanks to Gimli's built-in indestructible clause, its reliance on combat damage over multiple turn rotations and lack of stack interaction leave it vulnerable to fast combo decks and exile sweepers.
