Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Kindred Midrange strategy built around Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. The game plan leverages early green ramp and cost-reduction artifacts to deploy Shelob ahead of curve. Once Shelob enters, all Spiders gain deathtouch and ward {2}. The deck weaponizes this deathtouch synergy through fight and bite spells, as well as ping equipment like Viridian Longbow and Thornbite Staff, to eliminate opposing creatures and turn them into Food artifact copies. This creature theft provides immense board control and card advantage. The deck transitions into a lethal win condition through wide combat damage buffed by Night of the Sweets' Revenge, poison pressure from Fynn, the Fangbearer, or direct life-drain activations from Ishkanah, Grafwidow and Rotwidow Pack. Resilient mass reanimation spells and protective instants ensure the deck can rebuild quickly after sweepers.
