Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green Voltron spellslinger strategy centered on Legolas, Master Archer. Legolas features a unique dual-trigger mechanic: whenever you cast a spell targeting him, he gains a +1/+1 counter, and whenever you cast a spell targeting an opponent's creature, he deals damage equal to his power to a creature. By using dual-targeting bite and fight spells like Master's Rebuke, Ram Through, and Animist's Might, every interaction doubles as both creature removal and commander growth. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana dorks, lands Legolas early, and uses a rich suite of 1-mana protection spells like Gaea's Gift, Tyvar's Stand, and Snakeskin Veil to preserve him while piling on counters. Once Legolas achieves double-digit power and trample via Rancor or Hydra's Growth, it systematically eliminates opponents through lethal commander combat damage over consecutive turns.
