Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula commands a dynamic Grixis combat-spellslinger deck that turns the combat phase into a lethal staging ground. By attacking with Azula, the deck generates firebending mana and duplicates every spell cast while she is attacking. Early turns prioritize cantrip selection and mana rocks to smooth out land drops and deploy Azula on curve. Once Azula attacks on Turn 5, the deck leverages instant-speed spells, flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation and High Fae Trickster, and massive mana generators like Avatar Roku, Firebender and Mana Geyser. On Turn 6, this accumulated velocity converts into table-wide burn spells such as Comet Storm or Electrodominance, or recursive storm loops with Underworld Breach and Mizzix's Mastery. With efficient protection like Bolt Bend and versatile interaction, the deck delivers an explosive finish that burns out all three opponents in a single burst.
