Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Aristocrats strategy led by the partner pair of Ellie, Brick Master and Joel, Resolute Survivor. The game plan revolves around flooding the board with creature tokens by incentivizing opponents to attack each other. Ellie rewards any player attacking an opponent with tapped and attacking 1/1 Fungus Zombie Cordyceps Infected tokens. As these expendable tokens enter combat and die, Joel grows larger and draws cards. The 99 amplifies this engine with forced combat cards like Goblin Spymaster, token doublers, and classic aristocrat drain effects including Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, and Mirkwood Bats. Asymmetric control pieces like Dictate of Erebos and Massacre Wurm severely punish opposing creature boards. While the deck possesses immense grinding power and resilient token generation, it relies on sorcery-speed interaction and has few instant-speed protection spells, making it vulnerable to exile-based board wipes.
