Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control build helmed by Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage, designed to flash in historic spells—artifacts, legendary cards, and Sagas—at instant speed. By holding up mana on opponents' turns, the deck maintains flexibility between casting countermagic, deploying card advantage engines like The One Ring and Wavebreak Hippocamp, or flashing in devastating board wipes like The Night of the Doctor and Desynchronization. Once the mid-game is established, the deck transitions into a lethal threat state on Turn 6 using high-impact finishers such as Kiora Bests the Sea God, Summon: Knights of Round, or The Capitoline Triad. Opponents struggle to interact due to flash timing and Teferi, Time Raveler, allowing the deck to close games through combat within two response cycles.
