This deck utilizes The Ur-Sphinx to lead an Esper Sphinx tribal strategy powered by 17 copies of Sphinx's Approach. From turn one, The Ur-Sphinx sits in the command zone granting a permanent one-mana discount to all Sphinx spells. The early game focuses on setting up mana rocks and casting Sphinx's Approach to dig through the library while stocking the graveyard. Once Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign enters the battlefield on turn five, every Sphinx cast becomes a potent draw engine, digging four cards deep via Fact or Fiction triggers and drastically reducing casting costs. Defensive enchantments like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison stall aggressive opponents, while Magister Sphinx drops player life totals directly to 10 for rapid eliminations.
