Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Alania, Divergent Storm leans heavily into copying instants and sorceries while generating a wide board of tokens. The primary game plan is to chain copy effects (Galvanic Iteration, Thousand-Year Storm) with cheap cantrips and token-makers (Young Pyromancer, Talrand, Sky Summoner), then finish via a massive storm-fueled Grapeshot or a swarm of evasive creatures. Alania's copy trigger on the first instant and first sorcery each turn provides incremental value, but the deck can function without her thanks to redundant copy engines. Secondary win conditions include pinging with Guttersnipe or Ral, Storm Conduit and overrunning with Otter tokens from Stormsplitter.
