Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos stompy deck led by Rakdos, Lord of Riots. The deck leverages cheap, repeatable damage enablers such as Spear Spewer, Thermo-Alchemist, and Creeping Bloodsucker to fulfill Rakdos's cast condition on curve. Once Rakdos is in play, dealing damage to opponents reduces the generic mana costs of creature spells by an equivalent amount. This discount allows the pilot to deploy massive colorless and high-mana threats, including Desolation Twin, Cityscape Leveler, Darksteel Colossus, and Pathrazer of Ulamog, for minimal colored mana. Supported by damage doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Bloodletter of Aclazotz, as well as burn amplifiers like Warstorm Surge, the deck converts combat connections into explosive postcombat deployment waves that eliminate opponents over two turn cycles.
