Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir tempo-cheat strategy helmed by Satoru Umezawa. The game plan uses cheap, unblockable 1-drop creatures such as Changeling Outcast, Mist-Cloaked Herald, and Tormented Soul to guarantee unblocked attackers on early turns. After casting Satoru on Turn 3, the deck activates Satoru's universal ninjutsu ability on Turn 4 to put massive, game-warping creatures into play tapped and attacking for just four mana. Cheated threats like Toxrill, the Corrosive and Archon of Cruelty establish immediate board dominance, decimating opposing creatures and hands while Satoru's trigger replaces cards in hand. Backed by a suite of low-cost countermagic, targeted removal, and protection spells, the deck protects its engine and grinds down the table through overwhelming combat damage and continuous asymmetric attrition.
