Commander: Merieke Ri Berit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Merieke Ri Berit as repeatable theft and removal. You tap Merieke to steal a creature, then untap her with Ioreth of the Healing House, Freed from the Real, Pemmin's Aura, Aphetto Alchemist, and similar effects to steal again. Secondary value comes from Agent of Treachery, Tivit, Seller of Secrets, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling or Conjurer's Closet flicker loops that keep stealing permanents and drawing cards. Ioreth plus Robaran Mercenaries acts as a hidden engine that creates infinite untaps and lets Merieke take every opposing creature. Wins come from attacking with stolen boards or grinding opponents out under Ghostly Prison and Propaganda while you accumulate card advantage.
