Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Temur Dragon tribal and creature-cheat deck commanded by Ureni of the Unwritten. The strategy accelerates mana through efficient 1-to-3 CMC ramp spells and cost reducers to cast Ureni on Turn 4 or 5. Upon entry and on every subsequent attack, Ureni digs eight cards deep to cheat massive Dragon payoffs directly onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs. Key payoffs include Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Utvara Hellkite, Terror of the Peaks, and Scourge of Valkas, which turn every cheated Dragon into token armies and lethal burn triggers. Haste enablers like Dragon Tempest and Temur Ascendancy accelerate combat timing, allowing the deck to pressure life totals immediately upon assembly. The list supports its proactive game plan with efficient stack protection, including Stubborn Denial, Swan Song, and Heroic Intervention, while using Hellkite Courser and standalone Dragon engines to maintain resilience against commander removal.
