Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver commands a Dimir Zombie Aristocrats deck designed to grind value through creature sacrifice before pivoting into decisive combo finishes. The deck establishes early board presence with recursive threats like Gravecrawler and utility creatures like Cryptbreaker, converting death triggers into card advantage via Wilhelt and Undead Augur. A suite of edict creatures and Dictate of Erebos suppresses opposing creature strategies while breaking parity with decayed Zombie tokens. To close games, the deck transitions from incremental drain into instant table kills using Rooftop Storm paired with Acererak the Archlich to loop infinite dungeon ventures through the Lost Mine of Phandelver. Backup lines with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Putrid Goblin, and Poppet Stitcher provide alternative win routes. Supported by efficient counterspells and cheap removal, the deck delivers resilient midrange control with a compact, lethal ceiling.
