Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats and control deck is commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel. The deck aims to deploy Sephiroth on Turn 3 and immediately trigger his transformation on Turn 4 by casting a multi-player sacrifice creature like Fleshbag Marauder. Transforming Sephiroth grants a permanent Super Nova emblem that drains 1 life from an opponent whenever any creature dies across the table. Once the emblem is established, the deck transitions into a high-pressure attrition engine. It uses continuous sacrifice outlets, token producers like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer, and asymmetric stax pieces like Contamination and Grave Pact to lock down opposing boards. Flying attacks from Sephiroth draw extra cards each turn, while finishers such as Tergrid, God of Fright, Rottenmouth Viper, and Season of Loss close out the game by Turn 7. Dense reanimation ensures that destroyed engine pieces return promptly to maintain relentless board control.
