Deck overview

This list is a high-speed cEDH Izzet storm combo deck commanded by Ral, Monsoon Mage. The primary objective is to accelerate rapidly into a game-winning storm turn by Turn 3 using a dense suite of fast mana, rituals, and cost-reducers. The primary win route relies on Underworld Breach combined with Brain Freeze and rituals to mill through the deck and deck all three opponents in a single turn, backed by alternate storm finishers like Grapeshot and Radstorm proliferation. With format-ceiling speed, the deck protects its combo turn using premier low-cost and free interaction such as Deflecting Swat, Pact of Negation, Flusterstorm, and Hexing Squelcher. Redundant mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling, Tavern Scoundrel, and Storm-Kiln Artist ensure resilient recovery even if the primary commander line is contested.
