Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria commands a Grixis tribal midrange deck centered on the Villain creature type and the connive mechanic. The deck's primary game plan revolves around deploying Doctor Doom to grant menace and connive to a Villain each combat, filtering hand quality, growing attackers with +1/+1 counters, and chipping away at opponents whenever land cards are pitched. Supporting Villains like Madame Hydra, Ultron, Unlimited, and Red Ghost convert card flow and creature casts into wide token presence, while heavy hitters like The Squadron Sinister and Titania, Proud Pummeler turn the board into a decisive combat clock. The deck backs up its battlefield with potent Grixis removal spells and asymmetric sweepers such as Kindred Dominance, though it intentionally foregoes stack interaction and fast mana in favor of steady, thematic synergy.
