Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu aggressive deck led by Fire Lord Zuko that converts exile mechanics into combat pressure. The game plan centers on curving into Zuko, utilizing firebending triggers during combat to generate temporary red mana, and casting spells from exile to place +1/+1 counters across your entire board. The deck leverages impulse draw spells, Lessons, and airbending flicker effects to maintain momentum and steadily grow its creature base. Because the deck focuses heavily on combat and thematic synergy, it closes games through progressive board expansion or top-end finishers like Insurrection and Avatar's Wrath. It runs functional removal and land-smoothing cards, but lacks dedicated fast mana and infinite combos. This makes its operational curve fair, interactive, and reliant on combat steps.
