Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive cheat-and-beatdown strategy helmed by Kaalia of the Vast. The core objective is deploying Kaalia ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4, utilizing cheap mana rocks and haste enablers like Lightning Greaves and Generator Servant to attack immediately. Upon attacking, Kaalia cheats massive, high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons from hand directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, bypassing their steep mana costs. Heavy hitters such as Archfiend of Despair, Bloodthirster, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Avacyn, Angel of Hope rapidly scale combat damage and grant extra combat phases to eliminate opponents within two response cycles. The list reinforces this proactive game plan with a comprehensive suite of low-mana protection spells, including Grand Abolisher, Silence, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi's Protection, shielding Kaalia from targeted removal and sweepers. Reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead provide crucial resilience against disruption.
