Deck overview

This Simic deck is helmed by Kenessos, Priest of Thassa and focuses on cheating massive Kraken, Leviathan, Octopus, and Serpent creatures directly onto the battlefield. By pairing Kenessos's scry-amplifying ability with efficient topdeck manipulation like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Ponder, the deck reliably arranges high-impact threats on top of the library. On Turn 4, Kenessos activates at instant speed to deploy game-warping sea monsters such as Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Hullbreaker Horror, or Spawning Kraken without paying their steep mana costs. Asymmetric board clear spells like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets bounce opposing creatures while sparing your own board. Evasion enablers like Serpent of Yawning Depths and Archetype of Imagination ensure that massive combat damage connects, closing out games by Turn 6 while taxing and restricting opposing combat through Stormtide Leviathan.
