Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Mardu Vampire Typal build commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate a free 1/1 Vampire token whenever a Vampire spell is cast, allowing the pilot to rapidly build a wide board state during the early turns without committing extra mana. By Turn 4, the deck consolidates its army with lords and utility engines such as Legion Lieutenant, Captivating Vampire, and Cordial Vampire. The primary path to victory involves deploying Edgar Markov on Turn 6, utilizing haste to attack immediately and pump the entire team with +1/+1 counters, closing the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8. As a secondary plan, the deck incorporates potent aristocrat attrition through Grave Pact and an instant-win two-card combo with Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. While highly resilient to board wipes thanks to Eminence, the deck relies heavily on natural draws and possesses limited instant-speed stack interaction.
