Deck overview

This Dimir Horror tribal deck, led by Captain N'ghathrod, executes a two-pronged mill-and-reanimate strategy. Horrors gain menace from the commander, enabling combat damage that simultaneously mills opponents and feeds the commander's end-step trigger to steal artifact or creature cards from their graveyard. The deck piles on mill effects through cheap spells like Glimpse the Unthinkable, Maddening Cacophony, and Fractured Sanity, while Bruvac the Grandiloquent doubles all milled cards. An infinite combo exists between Mindcrank and an active Bloodchief Ascension (three quest counters): every card milled drains opponents for 2 life, which mills two more cards, looping until all opponents' libraries are gone. Backup plans include stealing opponents' spells via Wrexial, the Risen Deep, Grima, Saruman's Footman, and Deluxe Dragster, and overwhelming the board with reanimated threats from Sepulchral Primordial and Breach the Multiverse.
