Deck overview

This deck is a casual mono-black aristocrats and attrition strategy built around Syr Konrad, the Grim. The game plan revolves around deploying basic Swamps on curve, casting Syr Konrad on Turn 5, and leveraging his triggered ability to convert every creature death, mill, discard, and graveyard exit into symmetric damage against all three opponents. Early turns focus on surviving and stocking the graveyard with utility creatures such as Crow of Dark Tidings and Audacious Thief. Once Syr Konrad is operational, the deck uses his activated mill ability and removal spells like Murder and Bake into a Pie to whittle down opposing life totals. A late-game burst from Forever Young moves accumulated creatures out of the graveyard to trigger massive drain and close out the table around Turn 10. While resilient to creature-based boards, the deck lacks mana ramp, tutors, and protection spells, making it vulnerable to removal and tempo loss.
