Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue Merfolk tribal and spellslinger hybrid led by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor scales in power with your Merfolk count and creates 1/1 Merfolk tokens whenever you cast noncreature spells, scaled to the number of blue mana symbols in their casting costs. The primary strategy deploys Namor on Turn 3, followed by pip-dense noncreature spells—such as countermagic, card draw, and removal—to flood the battlefield with tokens while advancing your board state. Once a wide token swarm is established, the deck leverages Merfolk lords like Lord of Atlantis and Master of the Pearl Trident, combined with Harbinger of the Seas turning opposing lands into Islands, to execute unblockable Islandwalk alpha strikes. Sustained card advantage from Bident of Thassa, Coastal Piracy, and Kindred Discovery refuels your hand to maintain counterspell shields. The deck wins by combat damage across Turns 6 and 7, using asymmetric bounce spells like Raise the Palisade to clear opposing blockers.
