Deck overview

This deck uses Chatterfang, Squirrel General to turn every token event into a larger Squirrel board. Its main development pattern is to cast the commander, establish a recurring token source such as Squirrel Nest, Awakening Zone, or Chitterspitter, and then convert the board into cards, mana, life loss, or combat damage. Parallel Lives, Peregrin Took, Hazel of the Rootbloom, and Second Harvest increase token output, while Beastmaster Ascension, The Odd Acorn Gang, and Valley Rotcaller provide pressure. Death payoffs such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Mirkwood Bats, and Poison-Tip Archer punish sacrifice and removal. The deck assembles a functional engine around turn 5, but its first decisive threat is usually turn 8 or later. It has useful removal and recovery, but no deterministic infinite combo, compact table kill, or total lockout.
