Deck overview

This Dimir deck leverages Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver to pilot a classic Zombie tribal aristocrats strategy. The primary game plan revolves around generating endless Zombie tokens, converting them into card advantage through Wilhelt's end-step sacrifice trigger, and draining opponents via aristocrat payoffs like Diregraf Captain and Vengeful Dead. Dense tribal synergies from lords such as Death Baron and Lord of the Accursed allow the deck to pivot smoothly between wide combat pressure and combo-oriented life drain. Powerful engines like Rooftop Storm, Poppet Stitcher, and Warren Soultrader enable explosive turns, while cards like Grave Pact and Noxious Ghoul keep opposing creature boards clear. Although the list lacks high-speed unconditional tutors and fast mana, its exceptional card draw and graveyard recursion provide consistent mid-game momentum, culminating in decisive table elimination by Turn 8.
