Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy 5-color spellslinger and combo deck built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and the prepare mechanic. Codie automatically copies any prepared spell cast by its controller, turning cheap prepare spells into massive resource engines. The deck ramps efficiently through 2-CMC sorceries and mana rocks to deploy Codie on Turn 3. On Turn 4, it establishes an active engine by casting creatures that enter the battlefield prepared, immediately doubling powerful effects such as Emeritus of Ideation's Ancestral Recall or Bloodline Recollector's Ancestral Craving. On Turn 5, it transitions into a compact infinite combo via Displacer Kitten and Blazing Firesinger, generating infinite red mana and infinite noncreature cast triggers. From this infinite loop, the deck draws its entire library, generates infinite colored mana, and casts a lethal Torment of Hailfire to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously in a single turn cycle.
