Deck overview

This competitive mono-blue list is built around Orvar, the All-Form, leveraging instant-speed targeting spells to duplicate permanents for ramp, card advantage, and instant-speed combo finishes. The deck accelerates through dense 0–1 CMC fast mana into early stax pieces like Cursed Totem and Vexing Bauble that cripple common cEDH strategies while leaving Orvar's triggered ability unaffected. Once Orvar is established, buyback spells such as Whim of Volrath, Clockspinning, and Mind Games combine with High Tide, Coveted Jewel, or Peregrine Drake to generate infinite mana and draw the entire library in a single turn. The deck finishes decisively with Thassa's Oracle or table-wide bounce locks via Hullbreaker Horror and Venser, Shaper Savant. Backed by format-ceiling free countermagic, The One Ring, and deep tutor chains via Spellseeker and Step Through, the deck offers potent resiliency and adaptability across competitive tables.
