Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon commands a five-color Dragon tribal deck focused on aggressive mana ramp, cost reduction, and overwhelming aerial threats. The deck leverages its commander's Eminence ability to deploy massive flying beaters ahead of curve without needing to cast The Ur-Dragon. Early turns establish color fixing and mana acceleration through ramp spells and cost reducers. In the midgame, explosive engines like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and Terror of the Peaks multiply your board presence and deal direct damage. The deck wins primarily through lethal combat damage fueled by extra combats, token swarms from Utvara Hellkite, or burst damage combinations involving Dragon Tempest and Ancient Gold Dragon.
