Commander: Thor Odinson

Deck overview

This is a Boros spellslinger deck helmed by Thor Odinson, whose double prowess turns every noncreature spell into +2/+2 on the commander. The plan is to chain cheap cantrips and burn spells to pump Thor into a voltron threat while a parallel pinger engine - Guttersnipe, Kessig Flamebreather, Firebrand Archer, and Electrostatic Field - bleeds the whole table. Damage multipliers like Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor and Fiery Emancipation turn a modest spell chain into a lethal one, and big X-spells (Crackle with Power, Comet Storm, Jaya's Immolating Inferno) serve as alternate finishers off Birgi, God of Storytelling or Storm-Kiln Artist mana. The deck is a hybrid: a commander-damage voltron plan layered on top of a table-wide pinger/burn plan, with a dense protection suite to see the kill turn through.
