Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Descend and graveyard-centric aggro strategy commanded by Akawalli, the Seething Tower. It accelerates its mana using explosive rocks and dorks to quickly mill permanent cards into the graveyard. Reaching four and eight permanent cards in the graveyard empowers Akawalli into a 7/7 trampler that cannot be blocked by more than one creature. The deck backs up this primary threat with scaling beaters like The Mycotyrant, Boneyard Mycodrax, and Rhizome Lurcher, converting full graveyards into massive combat pressure. Direct table-wide lethality is achieved using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and The Skullspore Nexus to sacrifice high-power creatures and bypass stalled boards. Supported by efficient interaction, free removal spells, and low-cost recursion, the deck rebuilds rapidly from sweepers and closes games reliably around Turn 7.
