Deck overview

This mono-red aggro-burn deck harnesses fast Treasure generation to fuel high-impact Dragon threats and direct burn damage. Commanded by Smaug the Magnificent, the strategy accelerates on turns 1 through 3 using efficient ramp pieces like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Strike It Rich, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw. On Turn 4, Smaug enters with haste and converts banked Treasures into immediate damage on attack. Turn 5 escalates the threat by deploying force multipliers like Twinflame Tyrant, Roaming Throne, or Karlach, Fury of Avernus, which double attack triggers and combat steps to threaten massive life loss across the table. Supported by premier redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Dragon tutors like Maelstrom of the Spirit Dragon, the deck reliably eliminates all three opponents by Turn 7. While vulnerable to mass artifact wipes that destroy its Treasure stockpile, the deck maintains resilience through standalone Dragon threats such as Ancient Copper Dragon and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest.
